This mural is the product of several years of work between City officials and Matt’s staff at 20th Century Fox brainstorming a number of ideas to best celebrate Matt Groening’s Oregon roots and his connection to Springfield, Oregon. In the end, the City thought public art would be the perfect venue and Matt agreed.
